Emma, the new Italian digital platform created by Infogestweb Golia 360, seeks to simplify intermodal transport for small and medium-sized logistics firms. According to Claudio Carrano, CEO of Infogestweb Golia 360, Emma allows providers of transport services to connect directly with trucking companies, streamlining access to rail and maritime options.
The platform’s initial focus is on rail transport, featuring a route operated by GN Logistics between Interporto d’Abruzzo in Manoppello and Parma, Italy. As additional intermodal operators join, Emma’s network will expand to support both national and international routes. MTOs and carriers can list their available services, which clients can view for free or access immediately if they are Golia 360 members.
Emma’s features allow users to check train and ro-ro schedules, reserve transport for individual cargo units, track shipments, and add-on services such as insurance, legal consulting, and equipment rental. The platform is designed to streamline booking and management processes, offering a unified and user-friendly solution for diverse intermodal needs.
